Just hope that the FE doesn't object too much about it not being a helproom thread (unless we have any electricians in), but after the big blackout in America last week, it just seemed like probably the biggest news story we've had for a while.

but it's over now. Fortunately for me I was working from my home office today, and as I'm right on the London/Hertfordshire border I wasn't affected. One of my near neighbours has to cross from South London to get home, and she had a nightmare journey.
