Upon trying to play a CD in NTSC format I get an 'unrecognised format error ' I have tried reconfiguring and @force bob @ but still cannot get CD to play.

Any suggestions please

NTSC is a TV/video system format (used for instance in the States and Canada); some video recorders will replay both PAL and NTSC tapes, but I'm sure it isn't supported by CD players.

The strange thing is that this is the only format not to work in my PC but it does play in the DVD player I have attached to my Television.
Friends with ' similar ' DVD Roms in their PC's do not seem to have this trouble. I have downloaded the latest patches for this software.

You said you were trying to play a CD...:-)

Yes the discs in question are CD-R's upon which has been recorded the video film .

In that case have you read the NTSC notes (there are three in total) from PowerDVD's Help files?
