Power cut-wireless mouse/keyboard u/s

Just had a pwer cut for an hour. Had to boot pc with disc to get started, all seems ok now apart from my wireless keyboard and mouse not working.Any ideas?

Tried different usb port in desperation...bingo ! problem solved.

Try removing, then re-pluging the reciever, it may be that the drivers have been corrupted and need re-installing. If they do, then dload them from the manus' web site, as these will be newer than the supplied disk.

You could also try switching to a diff socket. If this works, then it is likely that the original socket is damaged.

That was my 2nd solution. Try inserting a usb key to see if the socket still works, or was damaged by the pcut.
