Do you not have Antisurge protection to PC and associasted kit?
It it possible either the power being knocked off abruptly and/or the power coming, put a surge up the wire and did your stuff a mischief.
Of this much more I guess,
But what are you working with now?

im on the pc downstairs, it seems to have been unaffected

Carry the affected monitors downstairs and try them out, to check if it is your monitors or the PCs internal gubbins that is unhappy.

Maybe the graphics card is poorly.

Same thing has just happened to a friend. I stripped the computer down and narrowed it down to the motherboard.

The keyboard lights would not come on (mobo controller). The monitor had power but there was no picture (the mobo has a built in graphics card). The USB ports would not work (again, mobo controller).

New motherboard needed now.
