power calibration error

can anyone tell me why when i burn cd to cd i get a power calibration error come up? ive tryed burning at slower speeds and on different discs. i think my burner is called ATAPI CD-RW 52XMAX thats all i can see that it says anyway!!

This click here suggests that there is a problem with the disks. There is also a possiblity the the CD writer is wearing out, the lasers have a limited life, but when a new CD-RW drive is available for under £15 click here and a DVD-RW for under £30 click here, it wouldn't really be a disaster.

Power calibration eror usually means time to get a new burner.

There is virtually nothing you can do other than try different discs.
