Possible? Clean install of XP Pro from USB drive

I have a laptop on which I want to install XP Pro. I only have a usb drive and a floppy drive at present. The hard drive has been wiped. I have the six XP setup floppies. But I can't get the usb drive recognised. Can it be done?

Sorry No Way, you need Windows on for it to recognise USB, If the drive will come out you could get someone to copy the Windows folder for you to the drive then run from the Win folder. The drive will not connect direct to EIDE it need a converter

I have a CD drive on order so I will just wait until then.
Thanks notap
