Please advise me... my hubby plays chess on pogo website and recently he has been getting a message that appears on screen and totally wipes the game off the pc. The message says "you have porn on your PC do you want to clear them? also says your card details may be able to be acsessed", he has never visited a porn site but he was worried abt his card so he clicked to clear them, but when the warning came on screen do you know and trust this site? I advised him not to download it. can anyone help us?

First thing is do not click anything on the page or net, Run your AntiVirus and all Malaware programs you have to see if they find it

Install and update Spybot and Spywareblaster (click here), consider using a different browser (click here).

If you think the PC has already been infected with something run a complete scan with Spybot and also try Superantispyware (find it at the first `click here).

Its just designed to scare you into buying the software (don't download anything and certainly don't pay for it).

Thanks All

I downloaed superantispyware and it found 20 threats, I already have adaware do i have to keep the two of them?

I dont yet know if ths has cured my problem, will tell next time I use internet.

They won't conflict. I still recommend spybot and spywareblaster - they block hundreds of unwanted products between them, they don't need to be running to do so.

Just to update

I was on PC for 15 mins then the porn message appeared again, and again I lost the game from the screen. Seems like the scans have not been the answer. Is there anything else I could try?

Thanks

Prevx is worth looking at.

You can do a scan for free but the full program costs - not very much though.
