Poor monitor color display

My monitor is not displaying colors properly. There seems to be a pinkish tint. It is running 32 bit color at a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels. I think it is a problem with either the graphics card (Radeon series 9200) or the monitor (Gateway CRT VX900T).

How do I localize the problem in order to fix it.

The easiset way is to try the monitor on another PC or a different monitor on that PC. Is either option open to you?

the only way would be to try another monitor although as a tv engineer it does rather indicate green output diminishing a bit, you could also check for magnetic items near the monitor and try a de gauss (which is usually a push button located somehwere at the back of monitor)
