PNY 3200 400Mhz DDR 512x2
Hi I have 2x512MB Memory running bandwidth of 3500MB/Sec (Im at work at the moment it could be more!) using SiSoft.

When I installed the memory, BIOS now flashes with Dual Memory enabled.

My Question being is that a friend said that dual memory is not applicable unless you get a memory kit which denotes dual memory!!

Is this the case, and is the bandwidth I am receiving for 1024MB 2x512MB a good score/average? I know it aint Corsair, but its gotto be better than 512MB single stick I did have

The memory doesn't need to be a twinned pair. The latency etc does need to match for it to work well but I think the expensive twinned pairs are only of use if you are into heavy overclocking.

My mate runs 2x512 crucial PC3200 not specially twinned and we run 2x256 PC3200 samsung in new workstations at work.

I don't have specific figures (we did run a comparison with SISoft a while ago) but the dual set up was definitely faster.

What should the bandwidth I should be expecting, if Dual was working, should I be expecting 6MB/sec therfore?
