Please help! Problem starting computer,

  tomtom122 23:24 06 Aug 2009

Hi guys,

I really hope you can help me. I have no idea why this has happened or how to solve it.

When I turn on my computer, before loading Vista it going to the blue screen and says "BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant."

I have done no changes at all. A system restore allows me to load Windows until next time I turn on the computer. I have the latest BIOS for my system.

I really hope you can help.

You say you have the latest BIOS? Have you updated it from the original or something?

Anyway, Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI)
Perhaps you could look in the BIOS and see if there is a setting you need to alter.

Or you could load BIOS defaults or take out motherboard battery for 10 minutes to reset it to default.

also, has it always had Vista on or have you upgraded from XP?
and what make and model of pc is it?
