Do you have restore disks or have you a driver disk for your modem. Have you checked in Device Manager and Control Panel to see if your modem is listed.

In SYSTEM under control panel is there any exclamations marks and is there anything listed as a PCI communication device?

  leeknight67 12:32 27 Apr 2003

Just to confirm..Control Panel/System/Device Manager... Modem does not exist in the list of hardware ? or is there a yellow exclamation mark against the word Modem ?
My inclination would be to go inside the computer and physically remove the modem (computer turned off !! ) restart the computer then turn it off and replace the modem in the same slot and restart computer again. It should now recognise the new hardware & you can re-install drivers.

Do you have your driver disk for the modem? Or is evrything on a Restore CD?
