I'm running XP Home and cannot get PC Advisor discs to open.
Do other disks open ("Autoplay")?
Yes, other discs play.
Try loading your cd and browsing it in explorer. You shopuld see an exe file called master. double click and it should launch the cd
Tried that already, thanks. I was told that i need a particular dll, any ideas.
What dll ?
May be worth trying to a sfc /scannow incase you are missing any dll's
Jim, please explain 'sfc/scannow. I've never heard of it.
go to start,click on run ,type in sfc /scannow as shown with space ,have your win/xp recovery or oem version in the drive, and click ok in run box.Should putback any missing files,dll's etc,and may help.sfc /scannow
