Place programs in C:/

Hi guys,
I have some software on my usb stick and would like to put it on my computer. When I place it in "Program files", it does not appear in "all programs" list. How can I place a software in C:/ and make it show up on all the users "all programs list"?

Thank you

All software either needs to be installed or you need to click on the .exe file to run it. If you put a shortcut to the .exe file on your desktop then clicking it would run the software.

A stupid question I know, but are you "installing" properly

Well, these are portable apps that I have installed on my USB stick. So you can't really install them.

This would be after you copy the software to your c: drive of course.
For all users to have access to it on XP you would put the shortcut in to the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs folder

Hi Ditch999,
Thank you very much! It works, it was so easy. Thanks
