Pioneer dvr-112 cd drop-out.

When burning a back-up copy from an audio c.d. I sometimes experience drop-out in the copied music.
I have tried different writing speeds down to 10x using Verbatim 52x discs and still get drop-out from certain discs. The original disc having no damage and no drop-out on play-back.

Is the disc copywrited?

yes but so were the other discs that copied ok.
I had no problem at all whilst using my Pioneer 111.
Every discs backed-up ok. Could there be a problem with my near-new 112?

Could be the laser failing.
You could also try a lens cleaner

The supplier has sent the unit back for checking and possibly replacing.
Awaiting outcome.
Tried backing-up C.D. on another P.C. no problem!
