I have just purchased this software but before I use it could you please let me know whether it is best to use DVD + RW & DVD - RW when outputting to disk. Should I capture in DV, MPEG1 or MPEG2 format and should I use Auto or Best Quality. I have Vista Home Premium, 2 GB of DDR2 memory, 400 GB Hard drive & 512mb Ge Force 8500GT Graphics card

Thank you

It only matters that you DVD will burn to the disc

Mpeg2 will play on just about anything. Quality better means bigger files

DVD-R or DVD+R would be better. Rewriteable discs can be flaky.

RW disks of any sort are unreliable- will very often only play on the machine that created them.
Stick to CD/DVD-R's they are cheap enough to bin if turn out duff

I ALWAYS use RW discs to try out new ideas. If it works, I THEN burn to R's, that way you don't produce coasters. David
