I have tried SAS MWB and Microsoft security essentials in Safe Mode but system crashes. My system is win7 home premium on a Toshiba satellite AMD processor. Can anyone suggest a remedy? Thanks

Try free ADWcleaner.

OK will give it a go. Thanks

If you can get on line and ADWcleaner hasn't cleared the problem, try the free 30day trial of Hitmanpro from Surfright.

Can you do a system restore (in safe mode if needed)?

  john bunyan 10:44 30 Apr 2015

PS to a date prior to problem, of course.

JB - good idea - should always be the first thing to try.

I have tried a system restore but no luck and hitmanpro crashes in safe mode too. Thanks for all the help but am now I am still infected.

What is the error message? Does System Restore fail to run or crash or you don't have any RPs or what?

(You can also try System Restore at boot, before Windows starts. Tap F8 repeatedly after power on and select Repair your computer)

Also Start Search cmd.exe, right-click, Run as admin and type sfc /scannow

Can you make a boot scan CD/DVD, on another machine if necessary?

All the major players have them

eg Kaspersky Rescue Disc

Right-click the downloaded iso and burn to disc
