Photoshop Query

I convert my RAW pictures in PS CS2 which is laborious. Some time ago, a magazine gave a tip whereby if you removed a file from AdobeCS2 folder/ preferences/?/? it did away with the initial RAW setup and made conversion so much easier and quicker. Since then I have had to reformat my drive and have mislaid the above information. Does anybody know of the required info?

What do you mean by the initial raw setup ? It's very rare that I use ACR as such, as I much prefer Lightroom, which in actual fact is ACR with a few bells and whistles.

On the odd occassion that I do use ACR. I open them by going to "File">>"Open". Select the folder/card where my Raw files are and then select all of them. These will then open up direct in the Adobe Raw editor.

I don't use "Bridge" as I thinks it's a waste of time
