I am in the process of scanning all my photo prints, of which I have thousands. Have made a master file into which I have various different files breaking down the different occasions the photos were taken. I then transferred the whole master file to an external hard drive, when I have finished for the day I drag and drop the updated master file to the external hard drive, this is where my problem begins because every time I drag and drop all of my files are duplicated I now have four photos of each single photo per file. I am given three options, 1. Copy and replace, 2. Don’t copy, 3. Copy keep both files. Is there any way I can stop the photos being duplicated every time I save them to the external hard drive? Using Vista, scanner Canon MP610, HD Lacie.
