Just wondered if anyone has any opinions on this/
I'm about to remove McAfee, so if it does what it says it would be a real boon.

Grateful for any advice.

I have not used that one - for me Revo Uninstaller is the perfect one!

Thanks Technotiger. I've got that one so will not bother with Perfect.

I use Revo for all my un-installs, following this process exactly - it has never let me down!

During the un-install process you may be asked if you want to re-start your computer, DO NOT re-start at this point, let Revo continue. You will eventually get the option to Select All and to Delete - DO SO. You will be given the same options a second time, again DO SO, do not be picky, just accept all that Revo chooses.
After clicking on Finish, re-start your computer.

Thanks Technotiger, removed it completely.
Also used it to get rid of an expired Kaspersky on my laptop.
At bit heart in mouth with the deleting but all seems ok.
Thanks again.

I understand about the heart-in-mouth bit, I was the same when I first started with Revo, but have been using it for ages now and for all my un-installs without problems. Now I just do the deleting-all bit, as a matter of routine.

If you use Revo Uninstall, does it have to be installed before the application you won't to remove is un-installed, hope that makes sense? Thanks David

Short answer, Yes, just like any other program needs to be installed before you can use it.

But if you have already uninstalled a troublesome program, you could reinstall it and then use Revo to uninstall it completely.

Thanks for that info, I use Acronis, so will stick with that. Thanks David
