pentium4 ?

i am thinking of buying pentium 4 processor mostly for applications,heard there a downside i.e overheats,are ther any good cpu fan to prevent this,secondly 64 bit windows is soon to be released,does p4 supports 64 bit?

P4 don't really overheat - at least they don't get as hot as Athlons.

That's a bit like asking how long is a piece of string, the P4 family of CPUs have been around for years and cover a large range click here . I've never heard of them having overheating problems. Which particular P4 are you talking about ?

You need a 64bit processor to run a 64bit windows dont you? I dont think p4 is 64 bit.

pentium 4 660 does it support 64 bit and are there other p4 variants that support 64bit
