Have been looking at a couple of refurb PCs for a friend. Both have same spec apart from the processor,so I want to know should I go for the 800mhz Duron or 800 mhz Pentium 3 ?The duron has an 200 mhz FSB whereas the Pentium only has 133 mhz FSB so I'm guessing the duron is faster yes ?If the duron is faster would the speed differential be noticed as we're only talking 67mhz FSB difference !Any other info about these old PSU's from personal experience would be greatly appreciated !
Pentium 3 would be faster.
I would choose the PIII
Really - despite the lower FSB ?
Yep.The Duron is the "basic" chip remember.
Paperback Writer - Yes of course !! ( Not the Celeron ) Cheers.
