PDF problem

I have a slight problem in regards to PDF copying, I am able to copy the entire document onto another document but I am unable to highlight a certain part of the txt to copy it over, could it be encrypted?

have you the full program not just the PDF reader?

its just the free reader program

I thinkl its only the full program allows editing however theres some free Pdf creators, try google search .

You should be able to copy using the “free” version (I've just tried and it worked for me!). If the pdf is encrypted, when you paste your selection, it will just look like a collection of random characters.

However, a pdf can contain text and figures. On the Adobe tool bar you will see “Select Text”, there is a down arrow next to this, if you click that it shows the option to “Select Image”.

The point of this is that it may be that the “text” you are trying to copy is in fact an image that looks like text.

Try playing with both text and image options and selecting a bigger area (to capture what may be a big image).

If the text is an image, you won’t be able to edit it when you paste it into, for example, Word.
