PDF files

I am having a problem opening PDF files direct from websites etc, e.g. application forms.

They seem to try and load then disappear and the only way I can open them is by right clicking on the PDF link, then saving it to my documents.

I then have to open the PDF file from my documents when I want to open it directly from the site.

Can anyone help?

I am a bit confused,as I can save the PDF files to my computer and open them from my documents.

But I want to open them from the actual website without saving them.

I used to be able to do this and do not know why I cant now.

My browser is IE8

Thanks once again

And I guess this has happened since you moved to IE8. There is a known problem between IE8 and Acrobat Reader - try downloading and installing Foxit Reader, and making it your default PDF reader. Then try again

Many thanks Sea Urchin that has worked.

I un-installed Adobe and downloaded Foxit and now the PDF files open from the website.

Thanks for the feedback. I keep Acrobat Reader as well, but use Foxit as the default, because just occasionally some PDF files prefer Acrobat - my gas company for example.
