PCI or PCI express

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card. I have a PCI slot. Does this mean I can't get graphics cards which go in PCI express slots.

There are - or there were graphics cards that worked in PCI sockets, but they were lower performance than AGP. If your computer has an AGP graphics card, then changing it for a PCI card would be a downgrade. To change to PCI express (PCIe) would require a motherboard update. This may not be economical if your computer is very old, although I have recently upgraded two computers for friends with PCIe compatible motherboards for under £100 with integrated graphics using this motherboard bundle click here
