Are you sure the motherboard has no PCI-E x16 slot?

Two related threads over at HP click here & click here, appear to indicate it does. If yes, then a low-profile / half-height graphics card that has a LP bracket will work. G

Some of the ultra-slims also came with a dedicated PCI-E GPUs - see click here & scroll down to 'Graphics'. G

Sorry, I think you're right - I watched a video about the system: click here 2:00 onwards. If the dedicated GPU in that position, it's probably on a riser card.

What does the interface of the riser card that slots in the motherboard have to be - PCI or PCI-E? G

thanks Crossbow yes it def takes PCI-E as some of them were sold with X1300.

the link I found with what I think is the right riser matches the cartridge/slot that is currently in the pc so pretty sure it will fit

and as you say changes the orientation of the card to fit back panel space

Yes, that looks like the one that'll do the job - more info at click here.

However, that site has no address details, telephone number or company registration/VAT number. Domain info click here.

There's a telephone number on their T&C page click here, but it matches one from another company click here - the latter looks very above-board, see click here={FB1930DF-56E7-461C-B3F7-C78565C633F2}&idPage=863. G

Sorry, the last link again click here. G

I'll email them now and call tomo. Will report back progress
