Hi for some time now the pca site is just getting slower and slower to open and navigate around the site, everything seems to just take ages, this is very frustrating as I have no problems anywhere else on the web, just seems to be this site. Is it them is it me is it my pc or is it IE.

Running windows 8 pro 64 bit with an i7 cpu and 8 gig of memory and 60 meg virgin broadband. Any idears please?

press f12 and then the disable tab. Tick script.

You loose functionality but site loads quicker.

If you use Chrome, go to tools and in the search bar put java.

For java script enter pcadvisor web address header and disable.

You will loose functionality as above but you will be supprised at how fast it loads.

Sorry to quick to post without double checking.

For Chrome go to

"settings"

and in the search bar put java.

For java script enter pcadvisor web address header and disable.

I put it down to all the adverts which take so long to load. This happens each time you change a page because they have to fully load up before you can continue navigating.

The answer to this is to only allow the simple adverts on the site, the more serfistcated adverts takes up the time.

I used to come on this site about six times a day at one time, now, I only come on here once a day.

Apart from an occasional glitch resulting in double-posts, I have no problems with the site. Running Win7, Firefox with ABP.

BSOD "For java script enter pcadvisor web address header and disable."

please excuse my ignorance on this but what exactly do you mean by the web address header.

Nontek, I have Firefox as my default browser, can you tell me what ABP is please.
