PC2700s Ram and PC2700 RAM

Hi everyone, does anyone know if there is a difference between PC2700S RAM and PC2700 RAM? It's just that for the PC2700S RAM, I can only find 256mb versions of it, and for PC2700 there is a wider selection. My packard bell easynote laptop has 256mb of ram in it which is PC2700S RAM and I need to get more! I have already made a mistake by buying the completely wrong RAM for it, but they looked very alike. It was due to a mistake on the packard bell website, guess I should've looked at the RAM on the actual computer... Can anyone help me?

The S suffix stands for SODIMM which are the smaller modules used in Laptopss.

Without the S are regular sticks for use in Desktops.

So a PC2700S module is a PC2700 SODIMM

Also be careful that there are 184 pin SODIMMS and 200 pin SODIMMS !!

Thanks DieSse for your informative answer, and thanks norman47 for suggesting Crucial. It really is a good website for stuff like this. I greatly appreciate your quick, and good, responses!
