PC won't start

After over 3 years of trouble free use, my Mesh PC will not start- I have not added any hardware or software before the problem appeared.

I get nothing on scree & 1 long & 2 short POST beeps, which I understand means there is a RAM problem. I have performed all that is suggested in the motherboard manufacturer's (Asus) guidelines for solving PC startup problems, including clearing the CMOS and installing new RAM. I still get the same beeps & the PC still won't start.

Can anyone advise what the problem might be & how I can rectify it?

1 long and 2 short could also mean check your Video/graphics card. Try re-seating your card.

Also of course, check all your external connections. Over time, something could have worked loose or become slightly dislodged.

I should have said 'internal' as well as external connections. As I said, given time even the vibration from spinning drives, can result in things working loose.

Technotiger, I've tried reseating the video card , but no change

Have you tried starting in Safe Mode?

Also, apart from the blank screen are there any other symptoms, thinking along the lines of PSU? or even the Monitor itself being faulty.

I don't think I can do that as it doesn't get past the beeps... & I've forgotten which F key to press

Three years old - hmm, possible over-heating from build up of dust/fluff inside case?

Normally repeatedly pressing F8 during Start-up, regardless of beeps.

Would that work with a wireless keyboard?
