PC Wont Boot

  Legslip 16:44 10 Apr 2015

I have a Pack Bell Imedia S3210 that will not start. Front screen says:

AMD data Change - Update New Data To DMI! PXE-E61 Media test failure, check cable PXE-MOF Exiting NVIDIA Boot Agent DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

I think it is either a BIOS or MBoard problem. When I go into the BIOS it asks where I want to boot from i.e HDrive but I don't think its seeing the drive. I have swopped HDrives but still same problem. If I put the Win 7 disk in it doesn't see that either. Have changed CMOS battery as well. Drivin me nuts!!! Any assistance?

Try booting from the System Disc - make Dvd drive default startup drive.

It's not seeing the CD drive either so won't boot from disk. It's as if the Mboard is not detecting SATA devices.

Does the drive show in bios main menu and also boot options.

Don't know your bios but could be worth checking that sata is enabled.

Try a new data cable to the sata drive.

Try removing one stick of ram, if it still fails try the other one, or pairs if installed, to start with.

Bios allows drive boot order selection but does not anywhere identify drive installed I.e. Master, WDidital etc. have tried new SATA cable. SATA is enabled.. Doesn't seem like. RAM issue but will do as suggestedRDave. Just strikes me that MBoard is not seeing SATA devices. Possibly something gone west on MBoard?
