PC wont boot

Hi, I have a small problem with my computer.

i recently changed the processor in the mainboard with another one because I thought it had died on me, exactly the same spec and socket number.

everything was going fine until it booted into windows and then shut down the computer like the old one did. now it wont even start and I cant access the bios.

Can anyone help please

Thanks in advance.

Has the atributes of a faulty PSU and probably nothing to do with your processor...

Did you use heat compound under the heatsink? is the cpu Fan working as it should?

Hiya Santos me ol mucker :-))

As above John, but do check all fans are clear of dust and grime etc..

Something to consider also, although motherboards can develop a fault, normally they just work or they dont. However it is possible it has a fault.

First thing i would try is as Santos says, replace the psu...even if you can borrow one that is known to be working as a matter of elimination.

Also reseat the ram just incase it has been disturbed.
