PC Windows 98 compatibilty with digital cameras

  gnomes 14:07 17 May 2008

I have Windows 98 & faulty Fuji camera.I wish to obtain another digital camera with viewfinder. Only ones I can find are Sony & Canon but their software is not compatible with '98'. As I have large number of programs installed on '98' I am reluctant to update the system.
Is there any way - say, with another program to make them compatible ? Are there any other digital cameras with viewfinder compatible with '98'?

W98 is 10 years old has not been supported for 2 years and is wide open to virus atacks ect better to upgrade if you can and you wiil find drivers you require.

My sincere thanks for your infomation. I followed your tip and found a SanDisk (yes, that spelling is correct) Reader/Writer at Staples Store. It works with Windows 98 - tested with a Smart Media Card. Apparently it can cope with 17 different types of card.
Again, many thanks. I am off to buy a new camera tomorrow - thanks to you.
