My PC has windows 98.It will not shut down. You have helped me with this problem before, but I cannot remember what you said. I think I need to restore some original settings (in the operating system?).
Thanks VoG.I found the advice I was given before. It is:HOW TO FIX SHUT DOWN PROBLEM IN WINDOWSwhen in windows click start>shutdown then click on restart in ms-dosWhen in DOS type scanreg/fixWhen completed(and this may take sometime) a box will pop up saying ok. If the computer does not restart and you just get a flashing cursor type EXITI have done this and my PC seems to be better.I think I had some trojans in that caused problems.
