The most likely component to die is usually the PSU.....BUT with your trouble this seems to be OK.
Because all fans are working and the screen says out of range.
To me, out_of_range implies that it is receiving something (quite useless) from the video end of things.

Just a guess - the CPU has packed up or else some crucial part of the motherboard has.

If you or a friend have a case for an external (USB) detach your HD and put it in that. At least you should be able to recover any data and small bits you might need if you scrap the computer or do a mighty rebuild.

You would achieve the same check and benefit if the HD was lashed up to a viable computer as a secondary drive, but that needs knowledge and courage either DIY, or trading on the goodwill of your friend.

out of range message in different circumstances recently...

Is the "Out of range message something that the monitor is telling you itself, rather than displaying a message coming from the PC?

If so, this message suggests a graphics problem; duff card, or settings...

Of course it may have been something else gone awry that caused the duff graphics situation... I'd check the graphics card first to see if you can at least get BIOS to display.

Good luck,

Take the graphics card out and switch pc on, hear for beeps. If there are beeps, should be your graphics card which is the problem. If there are no beeps, might be another component.
