PC reboots itself

  Ferrari-Fan 19:26 11 May 2008

Over the past week my pc has started to reboot itself without warning when I'm using it. Sometimes this happens 3 or 4 times in a one hour period. In some cases the pc seems to be trying to reboot but can't and goesround in circles trying and retrying without success, the only solution being to switch it off and re start.

Does this sound a simple problem to diagnose or something that may require major surgery? Is it likely to be hardware or software related?

Could be lots of things including overheating. You can check your temperatures using click here

Either overheating or possibly PSU dying or memory faults can also give same symptons.

If PC is a fewyears old either temperature (clean out) or Psu failing.
