I have made a basic system with a pc chips M8a8ALU
and a duron 1800.A gforce 4 graphics card and a 40 gb hard drive and 2700 memory.when a try to install windows xp prof.I get about where it start gathering information it gets about 20% through then starts missing files. If I remove the hard drive and set it up on another computer it installs fine but when I place it into the other one it starts rebooting and safe mode doesn't work any ideas what's wrong.

If you're using 2 sticks of memory, try removing one of them. If it does't work, try using only the other. If installation is successful, put memory back.
