PC power usage

  recap 13:29 09 Nov 2004

I have been asked to produce a report on our centres electricity usage per device from the humble scanner to the PC.

I have been trying to find information on the Internet that shows how much power a PC uses. I understand that there will be variables, all depending on what the PC is doing at a particular time.

I have found charts that show the power usage of household items but not the PC.

Can anybody help with my search for such a graph or chart please?

I have been looking for 2 days for the above information, now after posting I have found what I am looking for.

A little light came in in the back of my mind that reminded me of ENERGY STAR Qualified Computers rating. As our computers are ENERGY STAR Qualified I searched for their ratings and found what I was looking for.
