PC power cables scramble

Does anyone know how to tidy up the power cables to a PC? I have a relatavly tidy system all neat and propper with cables in a cable tray, but ten, yes ten plugs for all the various also ran bits & bobs, many of which use only small amounts of power but still need huge plugs & reducers. Computing advances but the plugs are no better than thirty years ago. Is there a better way out there?

That's Computers, Show me one that does not have the problem. And then you will have an answer

Still a bit of a mess though!

If it's the cables to the plug socket one of these will do the job

The whole thing is barmy. There must be a better system......The plugs themselves are the start of the problem, and why do we need all these transformers when the inside if the box has a good powerpack that could do half the jobs. Take the multi point usb for example, another plug & adaptor twice the size of the device. The external hard drive and the monitor - shurly that could be powered by the system power pack?

They do have a way of sending electricity by "Wireless" ie without wires but how much it costs at the moment!!!

"Take the multi point usb for example, another plug & adaptor twice the size of the device."

Fit a board inside the tower to do the same job.

"The external hard drive .....shurly that could be powered by the system power pack?"

If you use a 2.5" external drive, it can be powered by the USB alone without a power brick.

Otherwise - if you see a need, find a way to satisfy it, and try Dragons Den perhaps?
