PC / Playstation Home Network

Wonder if someone might be able to offer some networking advice please? I want to setup a wired network to connect both a PC and Playstation 2 in a room upstairs to my Router and PC downstairs.

My router is a Speedtouch 536 which has one Ethernet port available.

I'd thought about a single Ethernet cable from the router, connected to an Ethernet hub upstairs connecting both Playstation and PC but I’d welcome advice whether this is the most suitable option.

Thanks.

Regards Carl

That sounds OK. Use a Network Switch in preference to a Network Hub - it's a more sophisticated device which only sends traffic intended for a particular PC to that PC, whereas a "hub" sends everything indescriminately to whatever is connected to it.
