Tell us exactly what happens? What the spec of your PC is, what O/S do you have. What error messages do you have etc... You say the motherboard is new but your existing hard drive still contains the old motherboard details. Have you installed the new motherboard settings?

Can you get in to CMOS setup. If not your PSU will be broke Lights and fan working does not mean the PSU is OK as they do not need much power

You may have seen the ram working in the shop but is it the correct ram for your pc?

Are the setting correct for the ram in the bios?

Just try one stick of ram at a time if you have two.

According to the manual for your motherboard click here (click on Manual in the hot links box)it does not support DDR400.That is probably why it wont boot.If you still have the original memory to hand try putting it back in and see if that works.

If a new Motherboard as been fitted then it should start with Default settings that it loads when new. So my guess is the PSU is dud

Nearly all Motherboard give one beep when starting up this is called post beep or power good signal, a five volts check on the system hardware before it checks anything, including ram. if you do not get this beep then check out the PSU
