PC losing/deleting files without me knowing it

I've been monitoring my acer laptop's disk C:\ usage and the free space has been increasing without me knowing it. (Before I shut it down yesterday, it showed 207GB of 445GB used space, and now it shows 209GB of 445GB used space) I don't know how it's doing it or what files are being deleted but none of them are being transfered to the recycle bin.

Please note that I am the only one with access to my laptop and have not let anyone use it as of recently.

Not that I don't want more available storage memory but I worried that some important files and data are being deleted.

You may have a protection program or cleaner or browser, set to delete internet cache on shut down.

How are you getting to where it tells you: shows 209GB of 445GB used space ?

And what OpSystem are you using?
