samsung chronos i7 laptop freezing about every hour needing a forced reboot. finally found if I disable wifi it does not happen. Anything I can do or just use a cable connection

It appears to be the laptop's wifi, this happened when I was abroad and I found out if I switched of the wifi when I was without a wifi signal to connect to there was no more freezing. The other thing I notice is that before it freezes the disk operation light is on all the time and if the laptop does recover without a reboot it will freeze when I do the next operation. I have done a system check and all systems are working ok henry1

I would suspect it a some program checking for updates thats causing the problem, any clues in event viewer?
