pc doesnt start up .

whilst at work my youngest unplugged pc at wall by mistake,it starts up but nothing appears on the monitor and it doesnt appear to be starting up via the hard drive.just psu noise.. any ideas what it could be or what to troubleshoot.?

Put things back as they should be, look for other cables he may have pulled out and may have been pushed in bending pins etc in sockets.
Then try starting if no go try tapping F5 as its starting for Safe Mode then if it goes into safe mode, do a restore to a old date

thanks tried that but nothing coming up on monitor,also tried booting from cd? no signal?

Is the monitor completely 'dead' are there no lights on front of it at all or signs of life on the screen?
If so then check it's not switched off via the button on the monitor.

hi are there any beeps from the pc,its self ?
try a diffrent power cord ,,if the psu.s fans are working but there,s not display ..then your power supply as a foult and need replaceing

the monitor power is on,doesnt seem to be gettng signal from tower.the message on screen is no signal closing down.the computer starts up via psu but never has beeped though.so this would be psu?ill have aa look tonight see if ive an old one on a previous pc thats compatable.

Changed the psu but didnt fire up properley,so changed the graphics card out and up she went.Thanks for the help and sorry it took so long before replying but just got round to doing it.
