Could be an overheating issue, and the PC shuts down to protect itself.
Check the CPU fan is working and that the heatsink is not clogged with dust and other detritus.

Don't think its overheating problem as this was first thing this morning after 2 mins of starting

Unable to start no sounds no lights no fans working inside pc clean?

Sounds like the PSU to me.

Make sure there are no loose cables at the back of computer,Check main cable that fuse has not blown,

To test the PSU, unplug ALL devices from it, including the motherboard connector.
Take a bent paper clip and insert the ends into the PSUs motherboard connector. Put one end into the green wire and the other into any of the black ones, for simplicity use the black wire next to the green one, apply power to the PSU.
Does the PSU fire up. fan working?
If not, PSU needs replacing.

jack hackett

Tried your wire trick and psu fired up so guess the psu is ok guess we are looking at the motherboard?

  Jack Hackett 09:47 20 Apr 2007

OK, next step.
Unplug all internal drives devices, remove all but necessary PCI cards etc. We are looking to have the bare minimum for a boot.
CPU + fan - RAM (just one good working module if need be) - Video card - that's all!
Check all are seated OK

Boot up again.

Results?

ok removed all but graphic cards still no boot no beeps nothing?

  Jack Hackett 09:58 20 Apr 2007

Do you have access to another PC so that you can test your RAM, CPU?
If they work OK on another machine, then it is in all probability your mobo.
At this point if it were your RAM or Graphics you would, in most cases, get a BIOS beep error.
I suspect your Mobo is shot
