Hi. i know theres a lot on this subject wich i have read, but can`t seem to find one that discribes my problem. My pc is crashing 3 times daily, or locking up ie, keyboard and mouse, the crashes range from IRQ`S to krn`s, bios out of date, win 2k system, just to name a few. I have bare essetials running now in pc.My system is packard bell win xp home sp2 build 2600 110 gig intel celeron, 256 mem, nvidia mmx440 64 meg graphics card bit old now, 20 gb hard drive,I`ve been monitering the temps on cpu with mbm temps are cpu 1degree c case 68 to 71degc, sensor 3,3deg c.His the pc on its way out or will a complete reinstall fix this, iam thinking on the lines of faulty psu or board cpu fan? Any help would be great thanks.

try downloading software that cleans up your computer, run norton or AVG every once in a while. also try ewido for anti-malware.

another good way is to go to

start> all programs> accessories> system tools> disk defragment.

and also try the disk cleanup.

every little helps (and no i dont work for Tesco)lol
