pc clock constantly resetting to 00:00.?

hi everyone, everytime i boot one of my pc's (XP pro) the clock is always on 00:00..? even though i change it to the current time & click on Apply..?

any suggestions please..

The CMOS battery on the motherboard, which retains the BIOS settings and the clock's time, may need to be replaced.

depending on age i would suspect cmos battery or it is not set up correctly
