I've bought a pc card adapter to transfer photos from a cf card to my pc. Unfortunately the one i've bought is for a laptop. Does anyone know if there is anyway I can connect this to my pc. My OS is XP.

...the card is PCMCIA - the type that fits in the side slot on a laptop - I don't think there is a way to attach it to your desktop.

Although it is possible to get PCI cards for a desktop PC to enable you to plug laptop PCMCIA cards in, it would be much easier and less expensive in your case just to get a USB Compact Flash card reader for the PC.

Ask wherever you bought it if you may swap it for a memory card reader/writer?
