Pc Buying advice

I am looking to buy a new pc for home and moderate gaming and after trawling around I am tempted by an Arbico 7600 XL with Intel Core Duo 6850 processor, 2GB 533 mhz Pc 4200 DDR2 memory, nVidia Ge Force 7600 GT 256 MB graphics card, 400 GB IDE 720 rpm Hard Drive, DVD rewriter and 19" widescreen monitor for £720. Although I suspect I'm buying more than I need -I've half a mind on not needing to upgrade for quite a while after purchasing from Evesham 18 months ago and being ripped off and disappointed.

Yeah similar thing happened to me from buying from PC -Specialist. The PC just doesn't perform how I'd hoped and now seriously considering buying a new faster more reliable machine. Trouble is most of the retailers seem to have some unsatisfied customers so it is hard to choose. One firm on here getting a lot of good feedback is Cougar click here

I'm thinking of buying from them just trying to decide on how I should have my hard drives set up as I want to use the machine for photoshop C3 and other graphic software.

The spec you listed sounds good to me, I have a 7600GT card in this machine and it is certainly adequate for my games use. Still though I've not seen one of these new cards like the Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX 768mb so don't know how much better they are.

Thanks for that- just had a look and appears I can get same options for £50 less -will check out reviews for Cougar -more for after sales sevice etc. than anything else as this seems to be a prevalent issue with quite a few suppliers.

Hi Bothick,

Give advance technologies a look at click here

They have some very reasonable prices and if you select the build it for me option in the kit section, you just simply add items to your basket and thats it.

I was sorely tempted to go for my new system from them but simply decided to go for a local shop in Glasgow although it was slightly more expensive as it's only 5 minutes from my work.
