I take it you mean the Restore/recovery app PCAngel ?

Had an Advent lappy (real pain in the ********) got rid of it in the end and would never buy a Advent again.
PCAngel was ok and to be pretty honest with you ...it worked as it should.

PC Angel,on my EVESHAM.Used it once about 15 months ago,did the job I guess.Since then I have bought ACRONIS True Image, never had to use as yet,but from what I have read, works better then most.

Acronis TI 11 Is by far and away the superior product. You will find that many here use it. It is, simply the best. Not free, but worth every penny.

I too have PC Angel. it delays boot for a few seconds. Does anyone know what it does (I'm assuming it resets factory defaults or something like that) and how do you access it?

As PC Angel is on a different partition this is your recovery/restore console and yes will let you restore to factory settings or carry out a repair.

As said though,ATI= Acronis True Image will take some beating for your backup.

Its used for restoring your computer. It normally runs when you use your recovery disc.
