Why are you underlining certain words in postings to provide a link? Just curious.

  troydi 11:19 18 Jun 2003

PC Advisor now highlights keywords selected by our advertisers, typically a vendor name, product or service. Keywords are underlined in green and are hyper-linked to the advertiser's site.

  Peverelli 11:21 18 Jun 2003

They are links to web pages. For example: if somebody writes the word " Microsoft " somewhere in their thread PCA puts in a link to MS's web page for you.

  Peverelli 11:23 18 Jun 2003

Hmmmm, didn't seem to work with microsoft. Ah well.........

  mikef. 11:25 18 Jun 2003

Has on my page. :-)

  Peverelli 11:28 18 Jun 2003

Doesn't always work as planned though. If somebody starts a new thread on a Sunday the 'Sun' turns into a link :O)

  Andsome 11:29 18 Jun 2003

What green underlinings?

  hoverman 11:33 18 Jun 2003

Same as Andsome here - what green lines? Read a lot about them in the Forum but never seen any.

It's a plan by the Martians to communicate secretly with the super boffins who use this site, a full invasion is nigh, back up your data.

They come and go!

The trouble we had getting 'Martians' not to underline... Doh!
