please can someone tell me how can I set up my win xp so that you need a password to use the pc, also once this is done is it reversible?

Start, Run, type in

control userpasswords2

and click OK.

Tick Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

This is reversible.

Yes you can remove this feature, just e-mail whenever you want to remove this... Anyway...

1)Open up "Control Pannel"

2) Click onto "User Accounts" option

3) Select your name from the list and click onto "create a password for this account" option.

4) Type in your password, and click OK...

You can also create other accounts that are "limited" to what they can do, e.g. they can't install programs... These Are called "Limited Accounts". To create another account, just click onto the "create new account" option (instead of clicking onto your username) and follow the on-screen instructions

Do what VoG™ said in reverse to stop Windows asking for a password.
